Fellowship Overview

Need

Single Christians typically have little interaction outside of their immediate church fellowships.

  Church singles groups are usually small and not representative of the greater cross section of single Christian adults.

Goals

  Create a fellowship of single Christian adults drawn from various smaller conservative Southern California churches who share a desire to minister through worship: music, drama, and dance.

  Allow singles to minister, establish wholesome relationships, and grow in their Christian faith.

Composition of Fellowship

  Primarily singles - approximately 80% single, 20% married couples.

  Married couples offer support and encouragement to ensure success of fellowship.

  Members of all ages – focused principally at age range of 30-50.

  Conservative Christians with an interest in worship ministry.

  Vocalists, instrumentalists, worship leaders, drama team members, dance team members.

Structure of Fellowship

  Administrated by leadership team

         Small member executive leadership team

         Larger member team of directors

  Regulated by the fellowship guidelines

  Monthly leadership meetings and evaluation

  Fellowship with devotionals and prayer

  Monthly newsletter to membership and partner churches/ministries

  Color business cards with the OCWF logo

  OCWF is self-financed by its membership

  Includes mission statement, church sponsors, schedule of events, related ministries, photos and sound tracks from worship services, etc.

  Includes a biography page with members photos and email addresses.

Worship Format

  Passionate, God-Centered, Biblically Based Worship - balanced in mind and spirit

  Primarily high energy contemporary Christian augmented by slower worship

  Sensitive to normal worship style of host church

  Worship theme and format defined by host church

  Worship leader/director, instrumentals, lead vocalists, and choir

Partner Church Locations and Facilities

  Churches and locations in Orange County and other neighboring Southern California cities.

  Facilities to accommodate a small orchestra and a choir of 50-75 people.  

Other Ministries

  The fellowship also sponsors smaller outreach ministries, such as:

         Women’s shelters

         Retirement homes

         Prisons

         Secular outreaches

Social Events

  Social events are held on a monthly to quarterly basis

Membership Requirements

  A belief that Jesus is the Son of God

  An ability/interest in the worship arts of music, drama, and/or dance

  Attendance of monthly OCWF rehearsals

  Active participation in one or more OCWF ministries

  A willingness to abide by the fellowship guidelines

  A one year commitment to the OCWF ministry

What We Believe

  We affirm the infallibility, sufficiency and authority of the Bible.

  One living and true God, eternally existing as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  The deity of Christ, His Virgin birth, sinless life, vicarious and atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension and future return.

  Sinfulness of man and his need for salvation through repentance and faith in Christ

  The Holy Spirit indwells, sanctifies, instructs, and empowers believers for service and seals them unto the day of redemption.
